Salary: $75,000 to $100,000— Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JPSearch.
Responsibilities:
- Create detailed technical flats and line guides including intricate CAD work and interior construction details
- Prepare tech packages with sketches, construction details, fabrications, trims, and measurements
- Complete detailed technical sketches using Adobe Illustrator
- Maintain and update BOMs and make construction updates as needed
- Prepare spec sheets for factory samples
- Lead proto fittings and provide detailed fit comments for vendors
- Inspect proto samples to ensure tech pack accuracy and log issues
- Measure samples in preparation for fittings
- Understand garment grading
- Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements:
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and CAD software
- Experience fitting on a live model
- Strong knowledge of product construction, fit, and pattern balancing
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- High attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Experience with PLM systems preferred
- Working knowledge of fabrications
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and material selection
- Associate degree in Fashion or Technical Design
- Minimum 5 years experience as a production technician or technical designer
