Title: Senior Women's Designer
Location: South Carolina 
Working Model: Hybrid

Salary: $100,000 to $115,000 Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JPSearch.
Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with the Design Director to create a line/category that is trend-forward, sellable, and brand-aligned
  • Research and apply trends to the brand throughout the design process
  • Manage the full design process from initial sketch through production
  • Ensure top quality across all assigned category products
  • Work with the design team and Design Director to meet calendar deadlines
  • Lead and mentor assigned team members, delegate tasks, and provide coaching
  • Partner with Sourcing to optimize material and trim usage for cost effectiveness
  • Collaborate with product development and technical design to minimize production delays
  • Communicate accurate sourcing details with vendors through product development
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to ensure timely delivery for meetings, shoots, and launches
  • Lead and manage fit sessions with product development and tech design teams
  • Present seasonal lines at sales meetings and internal presentations
  • Oversee fabric selections and print reviews during seasonal reviews
  • Take ownership of calendar management and ensure timely delivery against deadlines
  • Collaborate with the Design Director on seasonal themes, color direction, patterns, fabrications, and overarching ideas

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 6+ years of proven design experience within the women’s category
  • Dress category experience is required
  • Strong sketching and design skills
  • Expertise in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop; proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Working knowledge of CAD and PLM software
  • Deep understanding of silhouettes, fabrication, construction, fit, and trim
  • Strong fashion sensibility with the ability to interpret and translate trends into successful products
  • Proven ability to lead, mentor, and manage junior staff
