Job Title: Sales Associate
Location: Iconic London Department Store
Salary: £28,500 + Commission

Job Purpose

  • Meet and, where possible, exceed sales targets.

  • Deliver discreet, thoughtful, and tailored customer service.

  • Maintain excellent and current product knowledge.

  • Follow all store procedures as directed by the management team.

Key Responsibilities

Sales

  • Consistently achieve or surpass sales and conversion targets.

  • Maximise selling opportunities through additional product and service recommendations.

Customer Service

  • Provide a high standard of customer care to every visitor.

  • Anticipate customer needs and strive to exceed expectations.

  • Communicate product knowledge effectively.

  • Handle complaints by escalating appropriately.

  • Support a positive and respectful team environment.

Operations

  • Accurately follow store systems and operational procedures.

  • Support opening and closing routines.

  • Maintain exceptional standards of store and stock presentation.

  • Ensure merchandising meets visual and commercial standards.

  • Participate in stock takes, deliveries, and inventory procedures.

  • Adhere to till procedures to minimise losses.

  • Attend training and team meetings as required.

Other Duties

  • Uphold the store dress code and represent the brand with professionalism.

  • Build cooperative working relationships with team members and management.

  • Adhere to health & safety and security policies, including locker/bag checks.

  • Arrange time off in line with company procedures.

  • Perform other duties as required to support the success of the store.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Experience in one-on-one retail or customer service roles.

  • Confident in high-value or bespoke selling environments.

  • Proactive, with a positive and professional attitude.

  • Strong communication skills.

  • Excellent personal presentation and diplomacy under pressure.

  • Additional languages are a plus, especially Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Arabic, or any European language.
