We are seeking an experienced and visionary Art Director to lead our creative vision within the luxury fashion space. This role is integral to shaping the aesthetic and visual identity of our brand across all channels. The Art Director will oversee the art direction and asset distribution planning for major campaign launches, spearhead creative production, and guide the content and production teams for our most prominent events, including fashion weeks. This position demands a highly creative leader with a refined aesthetic sense and a strong understanding of luxury branding, photography, and visual storytelling.

RESPONSIBILITIES
 

  1. Creative Vision & Direction:
  2. Develop and lead a cohesive and compelling visual strategy for seasonal campaigns, product launches, and brand initiatives across touchpoints inclusive of social media, digital media, DTC/.com, IRL retailer experiences, and brand collateral.
  3. Establish and maintain a luxury aesthetic that reflects our brand’s identity and resonates with our target audience.
  4. Concept Development:
  5. Brainstorm, create, and pitch innovative ideas for photoshoots, editorial content, and digital campaigns.
  6. Conduct trend research to keep designs fresh and relevant while maintaining brand heritage.
  7. Photoshoot & Content Production:
  8. Oversee end-to-end production of photoshoots, including art direction, styling, location selection, set design, and lighting.
  9. Ensure high-quality execution, working closely with photographers, stylists, models, and other creatives.
  10. Lead ad-hoc content creation initiatives, both in developing new assets as well as repurposing existing content to be adapted to different channels needs
  11. Brand Consistency & Storytelling:
  12. Uphold brand guidelines across all visual content to ensure consistency in tone, look, and feel.
  13. Craft story-driven campaigns that communicate the essence and values of our brand.
  14. Collaboration & Team Leadership:
  15. Collaborate closely with the marketing, design, and product teams to align creative direction with business objectives.
  16. Mentor and guide junior creative team members, fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration, and excellence.
  17. Project Management:
  18. Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met without compromising creative quality.
  19. Maintain meticulous attention to detail and ensure a high standard of visual output across all channels.
  20. External Talent Management:
  21. Hire, direct, and manage external photographers, videographers, and retouchers, ensuring all collaborators meet brand standards and timelines.
  22. Production and content team management for fashion week shows
  23. Digital & Social Media Strategy:
  24. Partner with the digital and social teams to create visually engaging assets tailored for online platforms.
  25. Stay updated on digital trends to create forward-thinking content that drives engagement and brand loyalty.
  26. Quality Control & Final Approvals:
  27. Review and approve final visuals before distribution to ensure they meet brand and quality standards.
  28. Act as a key decision-maker in finalizing creative content, maintaining an uncompromising eye for detail.
  29. Design and Asset Management:
  30. Manage and distribute visual assets across departments, ensuring cohesive brand representation across all platforms and touchpoints.
  31. Collateral and visual merchandising creative design for internal and wholesale event/retailer activations

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Design, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in art direction within luxury fashion or high-end lifestyle brands.
  • Strong portfolio showcasing expertise in luxury branding, editorial content, and visual storytelling.
  • Exceptional understanding of fashion, culture, and consumer behavior within the luxury sector.
  • Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite, digital design tools, and photography production.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000

Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JPSearch.
