Deputy Store Manager – Premium Retail

Role Overview

As a Deputy Store Manager, you’ll play a key role in driving performance, developing a winning team, and ensuring our boutique delivers a memorable customer journey every day. You’ll step into the Store Manager’s shoes when needed, and support across all aspects of store leadership and operations.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support and deputise for the Store Manager as needed

  • Lead by example on the shop floor to deliver an engaging customer experience

  • Motivate, mentor, and coach sales associates

  • Oversee onboarding and ongoing team training

  • Manage daily store operations and uphold brand standards

  • Maintain high levels of product knowledge and ensure visual merchandising is on point

  • Place weekly and seasonal stock orders; manage inventory and apply FIFO processes

  • Monitor health and safety compliance, including food safety protocols

  • Schedule staff for optimum coverage and cost efficiency


About You

  • Proven experience in a similar role within a premium or luxury retail environment

  • Passionate about delivering standout customer service

  • Results-driven, organised, and hands-on with a commercial mindset

  • Strong leadership and people development skills

  • Confident working with KPIs (e.g., ATV, conversion)

  • Excellent communication skills in English; other languages a plus

  • Comfortable using MS Office and POS systems

  • Flexible with working hours including weekends and holidays

  • A love for fine food and premium experiences
