Title: Designer, Men's Sportswear Apparel

Location: Gardena, CA

Working Model: On-site Monday-Thursday, with Friday remote (subject to occasional on-site Fridays due to deadlines)

Industry: Apparel – Men’s Sportswear

Salary: $80,000 – $90,000 + bonus (Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JPSearch.)

Responsibilities:

  • Ideate and create relevant men’s sportswear apparel for the brand’s target consumer, with a focus on cut + sew knits, tees, fleece, sweaters, and outerwear.
  • Sketch into a balanced sportswear product range under the guidance of the Senior Designer.
  • Research retail market trends and translate them into saleable sportswear products.
  • Source fabrics and develop trims with vendors, including issuing purchase orders for sample fabric and trims.
  • Create and maintain line sheets and BOMs for initial style setup in Full Circle.
  • Collaborate with the Graphics department on seasonal graphic styles.
  • Attend fittings, take notes, and update style setup as needed.
  • Participate in meetings with fabric and trim vendors and factories as needed.
  • Support seasonal fabric development and organization, working closely with production development teams.
  • Track internal development milestones to meet GTM calendar and SMS deadline dates.
  • Organize and prepare detail sheets and track garment samples when received.

Requirements:

  • 5-7 years of experience in the apparel industry, with a focus on Menswear.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to present solutions to cross-functional partners.
  • Strong capability to sell-in ideas cross-functionally and build strong relationships.
  • Familiarity with Full Circle/PLM software.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in fashion design.
  • Experience in cut + sew knits, tees, fleece, sweaters, and outerwear.
