Job Description: We are a fast growing beauty and lifestyle company seeking a passionate and experienced Social Media Manager to spearhead the growth of our online presence by developing and executing strategic social media plans, managing external agencies, overseeing content creation, and fostering a vibrant community across various platforms. This role will involve mentoring a junior social media team members and collaborating closely with the content and design teams to achieve impactful brand engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
- Develop and implement comprehensive social media strategies aligned with overall marketing goals, focusing on audience growth and engagement across platforms like Tiktok, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, etc.
- Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify opportunities for brand differentiation and audience expansion.
- Set clear KPIs and track performance metrics to measure social media success and make data-driven adjustments.
Content Creation and Management:
· Lead the planning, development, and scheduling of engaging content across all social media channels, including text, visuals, video, and live streams.
· Collaborate with the content and design team to create high-quality, visually appealing content that resonates with the target audience.
· Oversee content calendar management, ensuring a consistent and balanced mix of promotional and organic content.
Community Building and Engagement:
· Actively engage with followers through comments, replies, and direct messages to foster positive brand interactions and build a loyal community.
· Monitor social media conversations and address customer concerns promptly and professionally.
· Identify and implement strategies to encourage user-generated content and viral marketing campaigns.
Agency Management:
· Manage relationships with external social media agencies, providing clear direction and overseeing campaign execution to meet objectives.
· Evaluate agency performance and make necessary adjustments to optimize campaign results.
Team Leadership and Mentorship:
· Provide guidance and mentorship to a junior social media team member, developing their skills and knowledge of social media best practices.
· Delegate tasks effectively and foster a collaborative team environment.
Qualifications:
Experience:
· Minimum 5-6 years of hands-on experience managing social media accounts for brands, with a proven track record of growing audience and engagement, particularly for small to mid-sized businesses.
Social Media Expertise:
· Deep understanding of major social media platforms, their algorithms, and best practices for content creation and distribution across each channel.
Analytical Skills:
· Proficient in using social media analytics tools to track campaign performance, identify key insights, and make data-driven decisions.
Content Creation:
· Strong copywriting skills, ability to generate engaging visuals and video content, and understanding of visual storytelling techniques.
Communication Skills:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with internal stakeholders, external agencies, and the online community.
Leadership Abilities:
· Proven ability to lead and mentor junior team members, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
