Location: NYC
Hourly Range: $25/ hr Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC.
Key Responsibilities
General People & Development (HR) Support:
• Assist end-users with people system issues through retail communication platforms (i.e., Yoobic).
• Function as a systems administrator in Scout (Avature) and Workday in support of the retail business; maintain org charts, employee records, and provide backend troubleshooting support for the assigned client group.
• Support internal people partners and cross-functional partners to resolve and escalate issues outside of the standard People Support Model.
• Ensure feedback and patterns are identified and escalated to Senior People Associates, the lifecycle team, and leads for process improvements and enhancements to the People Support Model.
• Manage People & Development (P&D) communications through the internal portal (field) or email (corporate) responding to inquiries and requests.
• Ensure adherence to all P&D policies and procedures by providing accurate and timely guidance to employees.
• Support the people team with monthly P&D reports detailing key activities, data, and metrics including open to hire information, employee turnover, and employee relations matters.
• Support the communication of all federal and state-mandated employment laws as needed.
• Support the people team with Benefits and employees on any LOA questions. Communicate learning tools and platforms as required.
• Assist in contributing ideas for the improvement of departmental processes, procedures, and reporting.
• Provide general office support with email inquiries, unemployment claims, audits, and employee files.
• Assist with ad hoc projects and work with the P&D Heads and Leads as requested.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with corporate and business partners.
Talent Management & Employee Engagement:
• Support the people team during the annual Pathway to Growth performance and salary planning process (i.e., scheduling training, tracking completion, and collecting completed forms, etc.).
• Provide project support for special projects as needed.
• Support the team in the communication of people initiatives and projects.
• Contribute and provide project support for special projects, as needed.
Talent Acquisition & Onboarding:
• Support the planning and timeline for the recruitment and on-boarding of people or leadership of new hires.
• Support systems processes to ensure a smooth recruitment and onboarding process.
• Ensure accurate organizational assignments and hierarchy reporting lines in Workday for the respective region.
• Support accurate tracking of all open permanent and temporary positions and job req. approval forms. Support with data clean-up audit, as needed.
Requirements
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint, and familiarity with HRIS systems (Workday, Avature, WFM/Kronos preferred)
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, work in high pressure environment
• Takes initiative and has a solution focused mind-set
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent people skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
• Ability to work flexible hours outside of local time zone as needed
• Basic understanding of HR policy and procedure.
