Stock Associate (Full-Time)

Job Summary: As a Stock Associate, your primary responsibility is to ensure the efficient and organized management of the store’s inventory. You will play a critical role in maintaining a well-stocked and visually appealing retail environment. Your attention to detail and dedication to accuracy will contribute to the overall success of our store.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Inventory Management:

   • Receive, inspect, and document incoming merchandise shipments.
   • Organize and stock merchandise on the sales floor, following store guidelines and planograms.
   • Conduct regular inventory counts to maintain accurate stock levels.
   • Report discrepancies or damaged products to the appropriate personnel.

2. Organization and Presentation:

   • Ensure merchandise is neatly organized and presented in an attractive manner for customers.
   • Rotate stock to maintain product freshness and an appealing display.
   • Assist in setting up promotional displays and signage.

3. Stockroom Maintenance:

   • Keep the stockroom clean, well-organized, and free from safety hazards.
   • Utilize proper storage techniques to maximize space and accessibility.
   • Monitor and replenish stockroom supplies as needed.

4. Customer Service:

   • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with locating and retrieving merchandise when requested.
   • Answer customer inquiries and direct them to appropriate store departments.

5. Collaboration:

   • Communicate effectively with team members and management regarding stock levels, inventory needs, and any issues related to stock management.
   • Assist with stock transfer requests between stores if necessary.

6. Compliance:

   • Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety and security protocols.
   • Follow guidelines for handling and disposing of hazardous materials, if applicable.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in stock management or a retail environment is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to lift and move heavy boxes and merchandise.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Comp Range:  $21-$24 Hourly
Hourly range is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC. 

Physical Requirements:

The position of Stock Associate involves physically demanding tasks, such as lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Candidates must be capable of meeting these physical requirements.
