Job Summary: As a Sales Associate, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales within our retail environment. Your friendly demeanor, product knowledge, and sales skills will help customers find the products they need while contributing to the store’s overall success.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Customer Engagement:

    • Greet and assist customers with enthusiasm and professionalism.
    • Listen to customer needs, provide product recommendations, and offer solutions.
    • Answer inquiries and provide information about products, prices, and store policies.
  2. Sales and Upselling:

    • Actively promote and sell products to meet or exceed sales targets.
    • Upsell by offering complementary items and explaining the benefits of additional products.
    • Participate in promotional events and campaigns to maximize sales opportunities.
  3. Product Knowledge:

    • Maintain a deep understanding of the store’s product offerings.
    • Stay informed about product features, benefits, and any updates or changes.
    • Be prepared to answer questions and offer informed advice to customers.
  4. Point of Sale Operations:

    • Operate cash registers and handle customer transactions accurately.
    • Process payments, returns, and exchanges according to store policies.
    • Ensure the security and proper handling of cash and other payment methods.
  5. Visual Merchandising:

    • Assist with maintaining store displays and keeping them visually appealing.
    • Arrange products neatly and follow planograms or merchandising guidelines.
    • Ensure that product signage and price tags are accurate and up to date.
  6. Stock Replenishment:

    • Monitor and communicate inventory levels to the management team.
    • Help restock merchandise on the sales floor as needed.
    • Keep a neat and organized workspace to facilitate efficient stock replenishment.
  7. Teamwork and Communication:

    • Collaborate effectively with fellow Sales Associates and store management.
    • Share customer feedback, sales trends, and any operational issues with the team.
  8. Store Policies and Compliance:

    • Adhere to all store policies, including security measures and return/exchange guidelines.
    • Assist in loss prevention efforts by being vigilant and reporting any suspicious activities.


  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is preferred but not always required.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Sales-oriented with a passion for helping customers.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move moderate weights as necessary.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.

Comp Range: $21-$25 Hourly
Hourly range is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC.
