Job Title: Freelance Digital Graphic Designer
Location: Bolingbrook, IL – Hybrid
Duration: March 11, 2024 – August 10, 2024
Rate: $40-43/hr

Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC.

Job Description:
The Digital Graphic Designer will play a pivotal role in crafting innovative solutions for digital storytelling across our paid digital marketing channels. Collaborating closely with the Senior Manager, Social & Digital Design and cross-functional teams within Marketing, Digital & Merchandising, this individual will contribute to the ongoing growth, evolution, and innovation of our digital presence. The ideal candidate possesses a strong affinity for consistency, color theory, typography, and meticulous attention to detail. They excel in transforming complex concepts into visually compelling, easily digestible solutions, all while maintaining clear communication and organizational excellence. This position requires a self-starting, self-motivated individual capable of managing multiple tasks with minimal supervision.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design engaging projects for targeted marketing campaigns across organic, paid, and various digital channels.
  • Create digital content, including ads, GIFs, and animations tailored for different platforms.
  • Work with various media types such as video footage, animations, and illustrations.
  • Deliver high-quality work within tight deadlines, exhibiting professionalism and attention to detail.
  • Ensure consistent implementation of brand identity, visual language, and voice across all campaigns and communications.
  • Demonstrate creativity and innovation in developing original design solutions.
  • Communicate and present design concepts effectively, developing presentation materials to articulate design ideas.
  • Collaborate with external partners to execute campaigns and deliver assets according to briefs.
  • Share knowledge and expertise with other designers to maintain consistency across digital touchpoints.
  • Become proficient in the capabilities and functionalities of our digital platforms.

Job Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience in digital visual design for marketing and/or advertising projects.
  • Portfolio showcasing experience in digital marketing, including content creation in design, GIFs, video, photography, and stop motion.
  • Familiarity with all major social media platforms and staying updated on latest trends.
  • A passion for driving innovation in technology and processes.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (including Premiere and AfterEffects), InVision, Sketch; motion design skills are a plus.
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to thrive under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Media Arts, or related field
