Title: Design Director- Juniors

Salary: $125000-$135000
Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC.
Design Director
Focus on Knit Tops & Bottoms will manage product development from initial concept through production phases. 
Responsibilities: 
Design/Product
· Oversee the product execution for each season from concept, through development, and into production and build compelling assortments with an appropriate balance of risk, testing new ideas, and elevated offering
· Maintain line plans for house labels and a variety of private label accounts
· Partner closely with Merchandising Director to adhere to line plans, deliverables, and evolving sales needs
· Develop product presentations for sales appointments
· Communicate with overseas offices to execute accurate, attractive, on calendar sampling
· Stay informed and ahead of competitive landscape and industry trends and translate for the brand.
Management
· Must have management experience
· Provide a positive and challenging work environment
· Inspire team to continuously present new and innovative ideas
· Able to adapt to an ever changing environment and lead the team seamlessly through obstacles
Requirements:
· 8+ years of related experience in Design and or Product Development
· Junior apparel experience required
· Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment under pressure
· Extremely proficient using illustrator and Photoshop
· Ability to travel internationally and domestically
· Experience and comfortable giving presentations to the Executive/CEO level
