Title:  Senior Departmental Applications and Analytics Analyst

Hourly Range:55 – 64

Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC.
 

The Senior Departmental Applications and Analytics Analyst will collaborate with external vendors, system owners, community partners, contractors, and Health Science Campus leadership to conceptualize, develop, implement, and operationalize information systems. This role involves identifying and documenting information technology design specifications based on user needs analysis and generating need-gap assessments. The incumbent will leverage expert knowledge to define system scope and objectives, assess existing or proposed systems, and devise or adapt procedures to address data processing challenges. Operating autonomously on complex system tasks, the analyst will serve as a subject matter expert on quality and regulatory reporting, ensuring data accuracy for hospital and outpatient reporting requirements.

Additional responsibilities may include:

  • Analyzing and investigating data, including collection, compilation, organization, and analysis.
  • Supporting quality reporting initiatives and providing operational data and reports.
  • Presenting data analysis findings in various formats, including tables, charts, graphs, and written summaries.
  • Collaborating with business partners to review, analyze, and manage reporting and data requests from operational and regulatory perspectives.
  • Leveraging Cerner and Data Warehousing tools to track regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Addressing non-standard requests and troubleshooting problems.
  • Collaborating with EMR partner (Cerner) to develop and implement new regulatory reporting packages and enhancements.

Minimum education requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or equivalent experience/certifications.

MUST HAVES:

  • 3-5 or more years of relevant experience, including system design, documentation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
  • Healthcare industry experience.
  • Proficiency with Cerner.
  • Experience in quality reporting.
  • Familiarity with AMS support and Lighthouse.
  • Knowledge and experience with MIPPS, eCQM, PIP, DA2 LightsOn, HealtheAnalytics, and Population Health.
