Responsibilities:

The Demand Planner will be responsible for the management of the demand plan for Amazon across all brands and business divisions.  The Amazon Demand Planner will be responsible for creating forecasts, analyzing sales trends and market data ensuring optimal levels of inventory across Amazon’s fulfillment centers through collaboration with cross functional teams such as Sales, Planning and Inventory Management. Blue Yonder (JDA) forecasting software will be applied to assist in the creation of accurate forecasts, which will allow us to achieve the highest level of customer service and quality of inventory.  The Demand Planner will provide extensive data analysis to help develop Sales, Product Development and Purchasing plans to meet the division’s strategic and financial objectives.

Responsibilities:

·       Demand Forecasting: Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using Blue Yonder, historical trends, promotional calendars, market data and collaboration with internal and external teams

·       Data Analysis: Analyze large subsets of data to identify demand drivers, seasonality patterns and potential disruptions to demand forecasts

·       Inventory Optimization: Ensure Amazon has the optimal levels of inventory to drive the business while maintaining profitability

·       Reporting and Communication: Report on key metrics and performance to relevant stakeholders including all KPI’s such as Weeks on Hand, Conversion, PPM, and the ROI on Deals and funding

·       Collaboration: Work closely with sales and inventory teams to align plans and identify opportunities

·       System Management: Use Blue Yonder to build forecasts as well as Amazon’s internal reporting and planning tools.  Find opportunities to improve planning processes including automation and system improvements

·       Provide Ad Hoc analytical support to multiple departments and Senior Management for business decision making

Qualifications:                                                                                              

·       Bachelor's degree

·       5+ years in demand planning, supply chain, wholesale planning or other relevant proven experience

·       Experience in demand planning and forecasting, preferably within an e-commerce environment preferred.

·       Knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory management practices

·       Experience with collaborative or integrated planning processes required.

·       Experience in supply chain software preferred (JDA/Blue Yonder or similar tool)             

·       Ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment

·       Strong analytical skills with expertise in data analysis

·       Strong proficiency in system management

·       Knowledge of supply chain principles and inventory management practices

·       Strong business judgment, planning and allocation skills.

·       Highly self-motivated individual with a proven attention to detail

·       A great teammate with the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and maintain accuracy in all work.

·       Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

·       JDA/Blue Yonder Demand experience highly desirable
