Description: Our large entertainment client is looking for a digital editorial writer with e-commerce and/or retail writing experience. This person will be tasked with proposing, crafting, and maintaining a comprehensive lineup of commerce articles on a daily basis, encompassing breaking news on deals, summaries of deals, timeless shopping guides, and additional content.
Responsibilities:
- Pitching, writing, and updating a diverse range of commerce articles daily, including breaking news about deals, deal roundups, evergreen shopping guides, and more.
- Ensuring content meets news industry standards and is suitable for a news publishing environment.
- Collaborating with editorial teams to ensure accurate and timely publication of content.
- Maintaining familiarity with CMS publishing tools and utilizing them effectively.
- Staying informed about industry trends and consumer behavior to inform content creation.
Requirements:
- 1-2 years of experience in e-commerce writing.
- Familiarity with CMS publishing tools.
- At least two years of professional journalism or relevant editorial experience covering major consumer brands.
- Comfortable working in a news publishing environment.
- Ability to write engaging and informative commerce content.
- Preferred experience in writing commerce content for established news outlets.
- Not suitable for candidates with a background solely in advertising copywriting; this role requires news/journalism-related writing in an e-commerce environment.
