Title: Associate Athleisure Designer

Salary: $65,000- $80,000
*Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC*

Responsibilities:

• Assist in the design and development of athleisure collections for juniors or women's apparel.
• Collaborate with the design team to conceptualize and create trend-driven designs that align with the brand's aesthetic and target market.
• Research current market trends, competitor analysis, and consumer insights to inform design decisions.
• Create sketches, tech packs, and specifications for new product development.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including product development, merchandising, and production to ensure designs are executed efficiently and meet quality standards.
• Participate in fittings and provide feedback to ensure garments fit and function properly.
• Assist in fabric and trim sourcing, as well as maintaining relationships with vendors and suppliers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in juniors or women's apparel design within the off-price or fast fashion market.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Experience with clo3D software preferred.
• Strong understanding of garment construction, fabrications, and manufacturing processes.
• Excellent sketching and illustration skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Passion for athleisure fashion and staying up-to-date with industry trends.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also taking initiative and working independently when necessary.
