Salary: $80,000-$90,000 / year
Salary commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC.
Responsibilities:
- Post and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.
- Produce error-free accounting reports and present their results to managers.
- Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.
- Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending.
- Manage accounting assistants and bookkeepers.
- Participate in financial standards setting and in forecast process.
- Prepare financial statements and produce budget according to schedule.
- Assist with financial statement audits.
- Monitor and manage project reporting, ad hoc reporting, and other financial functions as required.
- Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
- Establish and ensure compliance with a global monthly close calendar.
- Liaise with our Finance Director and VP of Finance to improve financial procedures.
Requirements & Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
- 3+ years of accounting experience.
- Working knowledge of US GAAP, strong financial analysis skills and ability to comprehend presented financial statements.
- Strong communication, organizational and stress management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly with Excel, including Vlookups and pivot tables.
- Ability to train and manage staff.
- Experience or acute knowledge with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
