Salary (or hourly rate) is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC
Responsibilities:
- Reconcile financial statements to ledgers with a high level of accuracy, ensuring all transactions are properly recorded and discrepancies are identified and resolved promptly
- Analyze and reconcile data generated from various systems, including but not limited to accounting software and databases, to ensure consistency and accuracy in financial reporting
- Prepare and distribute contractual accounting statements to co-production partners, third-party participants, and content owners on television shows, adhering to reporting deadlines and contractual agreements
- Handle ad-hoc requests and tasks as needed, including providing financial data and analysis to support decision-making processes and responding to inquiries from internal and external stakeholders
Requirements:
- Solid understanding of accounting principles and concepts, with the ability to interpret and apply them effectively to financial data and transactions
- Proficient in reading and understanding ledgers, demonstrating the ability to reconcile statements and identify discrepancies accurately
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and logical thinking skills
- Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skill
- Experience or familiarity with the entertainment industry is a plus
