Salary: $70,000 – $80,000
Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC.
 

SUMMARY:

 

The role of the Print Designer is to work with the Design Director to set print, woven and color direction for apparel and home. Ensuring that licensed products for both Home and Fashion categories represent all aspects of the brand.

 

The primary purpose of this position is to design prints/colorways and develop product ranges that reflect the key looks highlighted in the seasonal trend and creative decks.

The position reports into the NM Design Director.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

 

· Setting print and color direction for apparel and home through development of new print design for target market. Collaborate with Design Director to develop seasonal original prints /patterns. Ensure artwork fits with in the overall seasonal vision and concept

· Knowledge of vendor capabilities and fabric construction as it relates to pattern, repeat and color restrictions.

· Input into design direction regarding print and pattern – Research emerging print trends for inspiration

· Build and develop relationships with licensee’s design team

· Attend design meetings with licensee’s

· Assist in preparation and coordination of brand presentations, trend boards, product schematics and mappings.

· Archive the print and woven library and organize digital files on company server. Ensure that the print charts/files/books are in working order & up to date

· Competitive shop both apparel and home for category awareness

· Collaborate with the Design Director and licensing partners to finalize scaling, placement and appropriate graphic techniques

· Any other ad hock project as assigned

 

KEY SKILLS/PROFICIENCIES:

 

· Well versed in Adobe Creative Suites

· Must have a strong eye for color and detail

· Strong presentation and organizational skills

· Well versed in Microsoft applications

· Able to multi-task and work efficiently

· 3 to 4 years experience in related employment history
