ETSDesign Director- Leather Goods
Apply Now-Direct and oversee the design direction of high fashion women’s handbag and leather goods accessories collections.
-Create original design concepts, design sketches and detailed drawings of high fashion women’s handbag and small leather goods accessories.
-Direct and oversee staff designers in the development of design specifications and sample fabrications.
-Lead the development of technical design packages.
-Manage color development and seasonal color palette presentations.
-Conduct new trim sourcing and embellishment/fabric manipulation.
-Research new fabrics and materials for inclusion in handbag and leather goods collections.
-Manage communication with domestic and overseas factories to ensure accuracy of product design interpretations.
-Direct and oversee development and implementation of handbag product line extensions.
Minimum requirements:
-Three years of experience in the position offered.
-A design portfolio demonstrating the ability to create original design concepts, design sketches and detailed drawings of high fashion women’s handbags and small leather goods suitable for the company’s accessories collections is also required.
Annual salary for the offered position: $240,000. Full benefits package.
Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC.
