Salary: $75,000-$85,000

Responsibilities:
- Develop and design womenswear collections with a focus on tailoring, ensuring alignment with the brand’s aesthetic.
- Create technical sketches, illustrations, and fabric CADs using Adobe Illustrator and other design software.
- Prepare detailed line sheets, tech packs, and presentations for internal reviews and external vendors.
- Conduct trend research, staying updated on contemporary fashion trends, particularly within the realm of women’s RTW and tailored garments.
- Research fabrics, colors, and washes to ensure innovation while maintaining the brand’s core identity.
- Source and develop fabrics suitable for tailored designs, working closely with mills and vendors to explore new materials and textures.
- Illustrate fabric CADs to communicate design ideas clearly for internal use and external vendor discussions.
- Collaborate with vendors and fabric mills to ensure accurate execution of designs.
- Manage relationships with manufacturers and ensure proper garment construction and quality in production.
- Leverage experience in washing techniques and finishes to enhance tailored designs (experience in garment washing and finishes is a plus).
- Partner with the production team to ensure proper fit, fabric integrity, and garment care standards.
- Present new designs, trend research, and fabric selections to senior management and cross-functional teams.
- Create cohesive trend and concept boards to guide each season’s collection direction.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Womenswear Designer, ideally in a contemporary RTW brand with a focus on tailoring.
- Strong proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and CAD design.
- Proven experience creating detailed line sheets and technical packages.
- Excellent knowledge of fabric research, sourcing, and fabric CAD illustration.
- Strong understanding of women’s tailoring and garment construction principles.
- Familiarity with wash techniques and fabric treatments is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, especially when interacting with mills and vendors.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
