Temporary Director of Business Planning, NA Retail Stores
Location: Hybrid, 2 – 3 day per week (NJ or NYC)
Duration: Start approx.: 7/8 – end 1/6/2025
FT Hours
Pay: $50 – $60/hr

Key Responsibilities

Budgeting & Forecast
•            Responsible for building and maintaining tops-down budget, in season and LRP financials
•            Collaborates with Leadership and key stakeholders to incorporate strategic initiatives & growth strategies in financials and KPIs
•            Drive strategic partnership with CIEM and Marketing on customer initiatives/outreach, offers and events based on impact to
sales and margin
•            Develop models based on analytics to identify and communicate business opportunities & risk
•            Accountable for analysis and scenario planning impact to top line, inclusive of promotions, store interventions, and staffing
•            Forecast reg price vs. markdown sales / GM and instore inventory to guide channel level promotional stance and inventory
 activities / financial scenarios
•            Execute analysis of trade activities across all cross functional areas impact to channel KPI’s, forecast and budget
•            Source planning; production/excess mix impact to sales, GM, and KPI’s

Reporting/ Analytics
•            Oversee team in reporting daily, weekly and monthly reports to aid in business analysis and strategy development
•            Package analysis for Leadership w/ contribute of LFS topline hindsight’s, insights and future financial outlooks
•            Prepare monthly Performance Forecast Package and trade decks for leadership & finance partners
•            Accountable for analysis for store interventions impact on business trends, identify risks & opportunities
•            Collaborate with IT partners to develop and support financial reporting, tools and systems, fix issues and create enhancements
•            Support vendor relationships w/ Mastercard and Shopper Trak; external industry benchmark

Business Process
•            Accountable for IT bi-weekly meetings to review open JIRA’s and upcoming needs
•            Guides weekly business review, MFR discussions and monthly FC cross functional meetings with perspective on sales, inventory,
 gross margin risk and opportunity
•            Lead cross functional processes for annual budgets, monthly forecast and weekly business reviews

Systems & Tools
•            Enterprise Planning
•            Microsoft suite
•            Proficient in excel (advanced skills)
•            Proficient in MicroStrategy (dashboard creation and Datahuiku plus)

Education
•            Bachelor’s (B.A. or B.S.)

Experience
•            7-10 years of Corporate/Business Planning and/or Retail Planning experience
•            6+ years of management experience
