Temp Sales Associate

Client: Luxury Fashion
Title: Temp Sales Associate
Location: Meatpacking NYC
Hours: 24-32 hours per week
Duration: 3-4 weeks, possible extension
Pay rate: $18 -$20/hr
Responsibilities:

• Greets customers and makes them feel comfortable
• Interacts with customers, offering assistance and responding to queries
• Provides recommendations according to customer needs or preferences
• Locates merchandise for customers and places orders, where necessary
• Operates cash register and handles cash payments and credit card processing
• Handles refunds, exchanges and returns
• Stays up to date with sales trends for better service and achievement of sales

Qualifications:

• Two years working in the service or retail industry preferred
• Experience operating a cash register
• Experience operating point-of-sale (POS) transactions
• Critical thinking, evaluation and analytical skills
• Record of meeting and exceeding sales goals
