Title: Technical Support Consultant
Company Description: Corporate/financial Communications Firm
Location: New York, NY
Duration: 9+ months

We are seeking a Technical Support Consultant for an immediate contract/freelance position with a corporate/financial communications firm. This is full time hours, on-site (5 days/week) in Midtown that will run for 9+ months with possibility to extend.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide daily, on-site technical assistance to local New York team and both telephone/remote desktop support to five additional offices in the US
  • Provide excellent customer service and perform calmly under pressure; strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical information in a simple, non-technical way
  • Utilize proper time management and organizational skills

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years’ experience in a helpdesk/desktop environment
  • Have worked within an ITIL environment
  • Experience using helpdesk service management systems for logging calls or requests
  • Knowledge of both PC & Mac systems (split is 80/20 PC/Mac)
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem solving skills
  • Experience with O365, Active Directory, MS Exchange
  • Knowledge of networking including WAN, LAN, TCP/IP, DNS and DHCP
  • Knowledge of multi-factor authentication
  • Good knowledge of laptop and desktop hardware
  • Working knowledge of anti-virus and threat protection
  • High degree of motivation and enthusiasm; can-do attitude and works comfortably as part of a team
  • It would be a plus if you have – international work experience/knowledge, multi-lingual, great sense of humor
