Title: Technical Designer- Sportswear

Salary: $75,000-$75,000

  • Create detailed technical sketches, specifications, and CAD drawings for junior sportswear garments.
  • Develop and maintain tech packs, ensuring accuracy and completeness of all technical details, including measurements, materials, trims, and construction methods.
  • Collaborate with designers and product developers to translate design concepts into production-ready technical specifications.
  • Conduct fit sessions and assessments to ensure garments meet design, fit, and functional requirements.
  • Adjust and refine garment patterns based on fit feedback, ensuring optimal fit and comfort for junior athletes.
  • Evaluate construction techniques and recommend improvements for better performance and durability.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, production, and quality assurance, to ensure alignment on product development goals and timelines.
  • Communicate effectively with vendors and manufacturers to address technical issues and ensure the integrity of the final product.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members and interns.
  • Oversee sample development and review prototypes for accuracy, quality, and adherence to technical specifications.
  • Identify and resolve technical design issues throughout the development process, from initial concept to final production.
  • Ensure all products meet the company's quality standards and comply with industry regulations.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design, Technical Design, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical design, preferably in junior sportswear.
  • Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, AutoCAD) and technical design tools.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, patternmaking, and grading.
  • Experience conducting fit sessions and making fit adjustments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
