Title: Studio Manager

Location: Washington District of Columbia
Salary: $70,000-$80,000
*Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC*

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze business reports and communicate opportunities.
  • Develop team’s understanding of business metrics.
  • Set strategies to improve business metrics and achieve sales plans.
  • Accountable for overall Studio performance.
  • Create a performance-oriented culture with clear targets.
  • Act on Studio reviews and customer satisfaction surveys.
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, educate clients, implement service recovery practices, and escalate client feedback.
  • Leverage tools and resources effectively.
  • Manage scheduling and payroll accuracy.
  • Delegate work responsibilities and follow-up.
  • Communicate HQ information to the team.
  • Balance analysis, experience, and integrity in decision-making.
  • Empower team to make business decisions.
  • Ensure accountability for meeting directives and maintaining procedures.
  • Create team morale through trust and collaboration.
  • Manage recruiting, onboarding, and development of the team.
  • Utilize development plans for team career growth.
  • Prioritize compliance and accountability to company policies.
  • Admit mistakes and seek help when needed.
  • Provide consistent service, coaching, and feedback.
  • Navigate employee relations thoughtfully and timely.
     

Requirements:

  • Experience: 2 years of comparable Retail Management experience: experience with jewelry, piercing, or hospitality is a plus.
  • Availability: 40 hours per week, available for five shifts (Monday, Thursday-Sunday).
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods of time up to 8+ hours.
  • Able to lift, carry, and move at least 20 lbs.
  • Must be able to handle chemicals safely.
  • Driven, creative problem solver that consistently acts with integrity and speaks up.
  • Owner’s mindset, with the ability to approach feedback and problems with a positive attitude.
