Job Title: Sales Manager
Direct Reporting: Salon Director
Job Role: Drive sales – Develop client base – Support sales staff –Assist Salon Director with business development, daily operations – Organize events and marketing opportunities with Salon Director
Primary Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain a personal client book
- Maintain and develop relationships with clients through contact and follow through
- Provide exceptional customer service in store and off site when appropriate
- Promote the brand through strong product and company knowledge
- Represent Graff at private and formal functions
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Manage daily store operations and decision making in the salon director’s absence.
- Assuring smooth flow of day-to-day operations in the salon director’s absence
- Support sales associates with training in product knowledge, customer relations, closing sales, coaching and counseling
- Partner with other sales associates to meet and exceed sales goals
- Assist with the daily operations of the store, including but not limited to stock/inventory analysis/reordering, receiving product, visual merchandising related tasks, and general salon operations
- Partner with the salon director to organize events and identify new marketing opportunities
- Assist salon director with business development projects
Knowledge & skills
- Effective and excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Has a high level of ownership, accountability, and initiative
- Ability to prioritize and multitask
- GIA graduate gemologist preferred
- Extensive sales experience in the high-end luxury jewelry business
- Strong PC skills
- Excellent Networking/clienteling
Experience
- Five to ten year’s experience in the luxury jewelry retail industry
- Proven negotiation skills and relationship building skills
- Proven ability to generate sales with engaging presentation and communication skills
- Experience working independently and with a team
- Strong communication skills and ability to support a team and resolve conflict
- Experience in managing and supervising in a retail environment
Salary: 100-125k
Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range by JBC.
