Do you have a strong eye for design, graphic production skills, typographic, strict attention to detail, and outstanding organizational acumen? This role just might be for you! Our client is a well known agency looking to add a fulltime Production Artist to help develop and refine creative deliverables. Candidate must be located in the San Francisco area to report to the office when required.
Production Artist Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with art directors, designers and developers
- Have a deep understanding of large scale graphics and print production files for environmental design
- Prepare final digital, and press-ready files based on supplied specifications for a variety of final executional outputs
- Make various formats of supplied artwork production-ready and resolve any artwork issues that arise during production
- Provide image retouching, clipping paths and additional image manipulation
- Package and preflight files for release to printers or media partners
- Create PDFs for print and client review
- Conduct in person and remote press checks
- Prepare and optimize images for online, mobile, and video applications
- Catalog and reference art for future projects
- Create and manage timeline to ensure tasks are being completed on time
- Troubleshoot problems as they arise with both the creative team and the printer
- Keep up to date with new production techniques and trends through research and education
- Work with senior design team on decks and image searches
Production Artist Qualifications:
- Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience in graphic design, print/digital production, visual arts or related field
- A portfolio demonstrating clear knowledge of print production and design
- An understanding of experience and environmental design
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to self-start
- Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills and confidence working within a multidisciplinary creative team
- A commitment to the rigor of the creative output
- Strong working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
