Salary: $70k – $80K Salary is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC.
Location: New York, New York
Working Model: Hybrid, on-site 1x/week
Responsibilities:
- Manage job cost rebilling to clients, running job reports, and reconciling expenses to projects for client invoicing
- Monitor AR aging and research and resolve payment discrepancies when necessary
- Prepare journal entries in compliance in GAAP
- Process a high volume of payable invoices for photography, hair, and make-up production expenses – allocate costs to jobs and divisions, etc.
- Responsible for the monthly close, including bank reconciliations, AMEX coding, revenue, reconciliations, and job cost reconciliations
- Ability to recognize and make suggestions to standardize accounting procedures that will help to improve productivity and create efficiency
Requirements:
- You should have 2-3 years of experience in full cycle accounting
- Experience within the creative services industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Economics
- Strong knowledge of GAAP & accounting best practices
- Proven ability to communicate well within a team environment
- Experience working with a sales team, producers, creative directors, agents, etc.
- Experience with NetSuite and Concur is a plus
- Excellent Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- AP and AR, job costing experience are a must
- Must have strong attention to detail
