Hourly Rate: $28/hr- $30/hr Hourly rate is commensurate with experience and is an estimated range provided by JBC
Location: NYC
Primary Responsibilities:
- Work with Sr. Packaging Team to conceptualize, develop and implement design strategies across print and digital communications.
- Create and execute packaging & display mechanicals
- Partner with all packaging designers to drive efficiency in the design and production file release process
- Communicating with licensors on brand management & packaging guidelines
- Mock up product displays for our retailers in advance of production in order to provide a visual representation of the final product
- Establish efficient time management skills to consistently deliver high quality work, in an extremely fast paced deadline driven environment
- Partner with Packaging Developers, and packaging ops to ensure the integrity of the design is maintained during the packaging development & Production process
- Product Photo retouching & create renderings as needed for packaging/displays and product
Qualifications:
- Bachelors in related field packaging or communication design
- 4-6 years of experience in packaging design, and POS displays
- Portfolio that demonstrates packaging skills
- Strong sense of design, typography and color
- Experience with licensed branding and interoperating brand style guides
- Expert level Adobe Creative Suite skills required
- Strong creativity, conceptualization, execution, organization and design skills
- Strong knowledge of photography & photo re-touching
- PLM experience is a Plus
