Our client is the top provider of vintage restoration for cars.
They need a super organized and dedicated candidate who can lead and manage the technical services they provide for car enthusiasts and the dealership.
Job Summary
In this role – you will manage all the day to day aspects of shop operations, including project management, technician management, and orchestration.
This role is accountable for the financial performance of the restoration and service business, interfacing with internal finance teams to ensure profitability. Additionally, the Director will collaborate with counterparts in the teams Investments dealership to ensure vehicles are prepared for sale as per client agreements. '
This role requires deep knowledge of vintage supercars, especially Italian models, and a proven track record in leadership and organizational management.
Key Responsibilities Leadership and Management:
– Lead and manage all shop operations, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.
– Oversee the hiring, training, and performance management of shop staff.
– Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
– Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work environment. Financial Accountability:
– Manage the financial aspects of the restoration and service business, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
– Work closely with the internal finance team to ensure financial goals are met. Interdepartmental Collaboration:
– Work with their dealership to ensure vehicles are prepared for sale and work is performed as agreed in client purchase agreements.
– Manage the post-purchase vehicle intake process, identifying areas of concern or problems with vehicles after acquisition.
-Ensure all quality control processes are followed before cars leave the shop and dealership. System & Process Management:
– Leverage existing dealer management systems and project management software to track progress and optimize workflows.
– Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all shop activities.
Qualifications
– Credentialed or bachelors degree in Automotive Technology, Business Management, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
– Minimum of 10 years of experience in automotive restoration and service, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
– Extensive knowledge of vintage supercars, especially Italian models such as Ferrari and Lamborghini.
– Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team. – Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and financial performance.
– Proficiency in dealer management systems and project management software.
– Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with clients, staff, and stakeholders.
